The Diary of Justin Hunter
The Diary of Justin Hunter
This isn't an art book, although it is a book I've written (and did the cover illustration for). What it is, is a sci-fi/adventure story written primarily for the 12-16 year age group. It relates the adventures of a group of American high school students, ages 16 - 17, who were embarked on a school-sponsored ecotour of the Amazon jungle when the plane they were flying in crashed, killing the pilot and their teacher, leaving them to survive on their own.
Menaced by various dangers of the jungle --- from wild pigs to anacondas to piranha to poisonous snakes, to a savage prehistoric creature that hunts them from day one --- the students learn that to survive they must put aside their differences and cooperate with each other.
And there's a lost city.
