Cows Along the Unadilla

24 X 36 acrylic painting of a couple of cows, and a horse, along the upper Unadilla River, somewhere between West Winfield and Unadilla Forks, in Central NY. Saw this scene on a canoeing trip, many years ago. It seemed so incongruous, those cows and that horse grazing away in the water meadows along the heavily-wooded Unadilla, without a barn or a fence in sight.

Note: the color isn't quite right in this photo. In reality, the blues are a little bit deeper, and the greens a little less yellow, than they appear here. When I get the chance I'll upload a better photo.
